Re: Bolger WDJ 'Sapphire' need to sell
Have you tried UShip ? You can post your shipping need and should get multiple bids from marine transporters from all over.

Hi, all, I'm morally sure that it is less than the cost to rebuild. This is a great boat, sleeps 4 comfortably, and Doc came up with a way to make a nice double bunk up front. He's also developed a lug rig alternative for the boat. I am selling because I just can't figure out how to move the boat -- I don't own a truck, and couldn't get any shippers interested in helping me out. So Sapphire is stuck in Wisconsin at the moment! But worth a look. Thanks! Kim

I haven't been able to move it from where he had it stored (I don't have a truck), and finally have decided, because my life has taken another turn, with a move to Canada, that I am going to put Sapphire back on the market. She was for sale before for $9000, which is much less than her replacement value, so I would ask the same, or best (reasonable) offer. Alas, I cannot show her to you, since I am a long distance away, but she has not been moved and has been stored inside since Doc Musekamp had her for sale. Doc Musekampe's 'Sapphire' is the "William D. Jochems" schooner design
#639. My guess is that the $9,000 price is probably less that the
cost of the materials to build a WDJ.
