Re: Bolger Oldshoe
Hi Joe,
Thanks for taking a look. The gray is a bit lighter in the sunlight.
Any kind of white is murder on the eyeballs in the bright sun...for me anyway.
I might try adding a rudder endplate over the winter just to see what happens. I really like the idea of using floorboards to create a big sleeping platform too...of course I'll need a cockpit tent..
Just got back from a sail around Rockland Harbor out to Owl's Head Light....or should I say drift. No wind and confused (big) powerboat wakes...the Oldshoe's arch nemesis. Still love her though. I'll plop her back in the lake and go sailing when the wind picks up again.

Mast gate looks good and beefs up the forward corners. I added dnees there that also supported the mast fid. My port transom cracked a bit so I added a 1/2 in. knee to stiffen it. Interior gray is a bit too dark for my taste. Might consider a lighter shade when refurbished. Could add a fence on the bottom of the rudder if you think it needs more authority. Note in your photos another Oldshoe has two floorboards and a strip around the top edge of the foot well. This is like mine and allows raising the floor boards to seat level to form queen size sleeping platform. Useful if you use it as a camper.

Hi All,
Just thought I'd share some pics and vids of my Oldshoe "Pandora" I built last winter. She is living up to all of my expectations. She's a little dream ship. I sincerely hope more are built. Hopefully someone near me so we can race! I'd be plenty happy to answer any questions.
