How about a 3x5 card stuck in your cap that reads:
"Bolger Rules!!"

Also, my messabout/festival experience this year was
that the members of this egroup sail while others stay
moored or docked. Who else would sail a lug rig in a
force 5 in inland Texas?!

I spent my vacation weeks this year going to Nova
Scotia for "eastern Canada's biggest wooden boat
festival", a 5000 mile boat/trailer pull and have no
regrets. It was a great experience. I have nothing
but good to say about Canadians, Nova Scotians, the
organizers at Mahone Bay, the other Bolger boat
builders/sailors -- and Jack and Lois Bearden's
hospitality.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL (AND FAR-FLUNG) MESSABOUTS.

Wish I had more time (and money) for Port Townsend ...

First of all, apologies if you get this message via more than one source.

As you may know, there's to be a get-together of Chebacco fans and other
Bolgeristas at Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival on Saturday 9th September.

Trouble is, although we all know each other in the cyber sense, not many of
us would recognise another if we bumped into them. So - how to meet?

The plan is that we rendezvous at the CLC (Chesapeake Light Craft) stand at
10am on September 9th. If you can't make it for 10, not to worry, because
Craig 'Peero' O'Donnell and John 'Oldshoe' Harris will be manning the stand
and should be able to re-direct strays as necessary ( - hopefully taking an
order from them in the process!).

So far, the following people are planning to come - Jamie Orr, Jim Slakov,
Chuck Merrell, Craig O'Donnell, James McMullen, John Kohnen, John Harris,
Bill Samson and, no doubt, sundry others of that ilk. I'm hoping there'll
be at least one Chebacco there.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Cheers

Bill Samson
