Re: [bolger] Sailboard as a sit-on "kayak"?
That hull lends its self to many uses. It will sail and paddle well and be stable enough to fish from with practice. I sold Mistrals and taught windsurfing and always thought it was wasted on windsurfers. Some watertight compartments in the deck and you're set for fishing or touring. The old windsurfrer rigs work well. Once you learn how it is easy,. REALLY ! Rocky

Subject:[bolger] Sailboard as a sit-on "kayak"?
I've been looking at stand-up sailboard plans. What would be the problem with modifying one of these as a sit-on design? I've considered both a seat on top and cutting into the deck. Paddle with a kayak style paddle. Would be much easier to construct than a plywood kayak, at least I'd think it would, and be a bit of fun. Any comments?
