I didn't ever have the original rudder - I used a Norwalk Island Sharpie
rudder on the transom - the plywood gudgeons are pretty strong too - and as
well as epoxying them onto the transom - I put one bolt thru each gudgeon
with washer and nut on the inside ... and then just to be sure I also put
fillets all the way around the gudgeons. I don't think they will go anywhere
- Will the transom tear off? I/m going to feel like I'm launching a whole
