Re: MORE Red Zinger pictures

Pat,
Ontario requires a fixed and permanently mounted head with a pumpout (holding tank or MSD). I single-hand and sleep on the port-side bunk, so I mounted an MSD head on the starboard side of Pug, where the other bunk lies. There is a pumpout fitting on the deck. I have never been inspected when in Canadian waters but I am usually in Canadian waters before the busy season (starting July 1st), so I suspect enforcement doesn't get running until July. I can always check in with customs and immigration via telephone, although they reserve the right to hold me for inspection. So, short answer is that I comply with the law, I don't poo in the Lake, and I've never been stopped or inspected.

I sure like very different aesthetics of Long Micro, Alert, and Red Zinger in these photo-sequences.  Only half-wits out there could claim that they can tell a 'Bolger' design...  Great shots all.  He'd be tickled.  As he of course was plenty of times...  Folks building the designs, making them look good for fine photography are indeed very much part of the life of boat-designers.
Very nice to see that.

Winter Harbor ME.  Can I come and see the boat later this Fall ?

You missed ALERT, another famous Bolger vessel, on the mooring next to Red Zinger...nice pic's Bill!

Does your LM have a head? If a Porta Potti, how is that received in Canada, through customs and on the water?

I have posted four new pictures of the original Red Zinger (still called Red Zinger). This was Zapf's boat and is now owned by the Follansbee's and it is stationed in Maine, USA. The boat sports an aluminum mast and wishbone boom. I believe these are neverbeforeseen pics, thanks to Paul and Debbie. As a bonus I have also posted a photo of a Shearwater called "True North" under sail in the North Channel of Lake Huron (CA), from 2011. I was fortunate to be departing the anchorage at Eagle Island at the same time as True North, so I snapped a few pics.
