The article says plans are only $20.
I'm sure that price is still good :-)

The list of PCB power boats I want to own grows again...

Halloween, Destrier, Caglioso (sp?), SHarpshooter, other Sharpshooter, Samuel Clyde, All of the States, Lake Launch the big one and the little one, +++++ more.

And I don't even like powerboats much.

I'm the one who bought it- couldn't resist for $6.00.

Somebody bought the article.

Handsome boat. Would easily adapt to plywood. I would suppose that even if Susan has the plans, they are offsets rather than expansions of the panels.

I would guess it could be a popular design today if offered with expansions of the panels and also adapted for S&G. Jim Michalak sells AF-4G plans, and there are other 22' cuddy and day boats for homebuilders out there that seem popular.

Anyway. Nice boat.
Yes, the 30 Odd Boats 'sharpshooter' is different than the Story Sharpshooter.

Different Sharpshooter, I think.

Different Sharpshooter, I think.
In the chapter on "Sharpshooter" in "30-Odd Boats" Mr Bolger says:

"I've lost count of how many of these 'square-tail dories' I've designed since 1954... It must be about 20 different variations from 15 to 45 feet long."

That gives a different meaning to the term "power dory."

Having the back of the house lower than the front looks racy, but I bet most builders would rather not have to duck a low beam on their way to the helm.

It is not every day that I learn of a new Bolger design.  Presently someone is selling an advertisement from 1954 that features a Bolger design named "The Story Sharpshooter", a 22ft outboard cruiser in the "Bank's Dory" style.
