Life, design & everything

Indeed.
I try to use it as follows..........
I cant afford to patent my design ideas, so Im beginning to put them
up on Duckworks, and at least they are then publicly dated.
I work a bit of innovation into some of them, and by putting it up
you make no claims, but simply register the fact you
thought of it on that date.
Of course this is great in theory...in practice I have about 50
worthwhile designs and about 5 of them are up!!!
Though Ive a couple of guys made a start on builds (& umpteen good
intentions),
Im sure the only way to increase public awareness of my work
( to the point I can even consider designing for a living)
is to build a couple of my own designs.
Mosdels & drawings are not enough.

My real aim to contribute a little to getting non-moneyed people
on the water, & in so doing supplement my retirement income.
Retirements a ways off, so Ill plod along!

Have you considered a crack at the Duckworks design contest. Love
to get your entry!

Heres a bit about me:
General Blurb TWIMC
******************
I spend all the time I can studying, sailing and designing Wooden
Boats intended for home building, in the real world of
mortgages, garages, and never enough timber, time or tools.
To eat I program mainframes for the Australian Govenment Health Dept.
I have a degree in Engineering Maths, and learned to draw by drawing.
I sail a fourteen foot ply Paper Tiger catamaran, a timeless 32yo design by
Ron Given from my birthplace, New Zealand.
I'm pushing 47, and recall how far off 2000 seemed.

Yours Sincerely
