Re: [bolger] Re: Philip C. Bolger used books
Garth,
I visited Phil this summer and I asked him if he ever considered the
"print on demand" approach to his out of print books. I'm not sure he fully
grasped the concept, but he didn't seem overly interested. He says they have
plans of doing kind of a compilation edition - merging a bunch of his old
books into one... but I bet we shouldn't hold our breaths on that one.
How involved is it to digitize a book? And what kind of percentage can
the author expect?
My vote is for you to approach him with some concrete details of the
workings of such a deal. I would think he'd rather be receiving the revenue
that is currently going to the used book dealers. And , as you say, it would
be a great service to Bolger lovers everywhere!
Go for it Garth...
