Re: We are selling our AS31 sharpie in Alaska

Can she still sail?
I suspect "inspired by AS29" is probably a  more accurate description.  Dave and Anke built Luna and sailed her for several years then built their current boat Slacktide on Dave's Triloboat concept.  I believe it was at that time she first went on the market and was purchased by her current owner.

About a year ago, her present (second) owner decided to move to central America and began advertising her for sale.  It sounds as though she has not yet sold, so this is (still) only the second time she has been for sale.  So she has actually changed hands only once so far, I think.

If I were ready to move to Alaska and had the $5K available I would seriously consider buying her.  Alas, neither of those holds for me at this time, so I hope someone comes along who can use her well.

If I remember correctly, this is a heavily modified AS29 and probably the third time I've seen it up for sale in four years. That's a sweet price for a (reportedly) great boat. However, one must wonder why it has changed hands so often.

I really want her to go to someone who will sail the heck out of her as only a AS can. Sails still in good shape but I de-rigged her to sell her as a motor beach cruiser (we are going to central America). I would include sails for someone who wants Luna in original form. Details at a sub page ofhttp://nukemuff.tripod.comwith pix. 1700 pounds of copper on the bottom and a jotul wood stove makes the $5K a sure bet. We can be reached at 907-738-5051. it would be grand to have a bolger fan and a ASharpie aficionado breathe new life into her.
