That weight only put the boat an inch or so below the drawn waterline.  Micro weighs over half a ton by herself (400+ pound keel). She is 6 foot wide at the waterline with 90 degree chines. Micro has free flooding front and rear wells. With that much weight added you just about get the bow and stern to touch the water. That flooding adds a couple hundred more pounds.  That gives you enough mass that you don’t get stopped by a small chop.
