Hull Number - Oregon forms & regs
A pointer for those few of us here in the middle of the western edge:
Oregon has the forms, regs, etc. on the State Marine Board web page
http://www.boatoregon.com/BoatingBasics/BoatingBasics.html
Had to register the 17' canoe when I put a sail on it (>12' w/ sail =
register). $25 for 2 yrs + $7 for a title/Hull ID. Required an inspection
(measure & check for existing HIN, no safety, etc.) by the friendly
(really) sheriff's deputy which resulted in an enjoyable conversation after
the somewhat dubious "So, Mr. Barker, just how stable is that?".
Most easy.
BTW, the Coast Guard refused to document our Cascade 29 - at 29'x8'x4.5'
8500 lbs. it was too small.
