Toledo (Oregon) Wooden Boat Show Next Weekend (Aug. 16th-17th)
The Toledo Wooden Boat Show in Toledo, Oregon is coming up next weekend!
Toledo is a small city about 12 miles up the Yaquina River from Newport:

There's lots going on there, with boatbuilding, kids building toy boats,
rowing and paddling races, cardboard boat races, and the chance to get out
on the slough in boats. In fact, it's hard to walk down the docks and
_not_ be accosted by Andrew Linn, strapped into a lifejacket and put in
one of the Toledo Boathouse's rowboats or canoes. ;o) And there's great
BBQ just across the street. :o)

The Toledo show has become the Coots' favorite get-together. The cardboard
boat race is Saturday, so if you only come for one day make it Saturday.
