Re: [bolger] MAIB Subscriptions

Most certainly.
Yes.

I forgot to mention that Bob, now well into his 80s, still rides his big 652ccm Enduro.  After all he got into publishing with motorcycle-magazines and doing some off-road racing himself.  However, he and his bride Jane (of similar age) do not ride two-up anymore...

Susanne,
Is it okay to forward your message to other discussion groups focusing on small boats?

Folks,
Bob Hicks could use your help with a few more subscriptions to add to his roster.
Attrition mostly by ‘death-by-old-age’ keeps cutting into his business.
’Fresh blood’ seems called for.
Makes for a good gift – birthdays or any other high holidays...

MAIB has been the voice of many folks and organizations which the ‘glitzy’ commercial mags would never even look at.
And, as most of you know, he’s been our regular outlet in print now literally for decades.
Since Phil’s death and after a few missed issues, I’ve resumed the steady schedule of putting out design-work, studies and other related news under the heading “Phil Bolger & Friends On Design”.
It may indeed be true that this ‘little’ and much underestimated magazine may actually have supported the longest-running and thus biggest regular design-column by one design-house of any boating-magazine anywhere via the Bolger-On-Design sequence across now decades !!  No kidding.
So, if you want to keep current about PB&F, or just mess with heads and hearts of the local yacht-club set by sending ‘subversive’ MAIB there, Bob’s terms are very modest for a rich 60-page Monthly in which you might even have a chance to get published as well.
Heck, your physician’s or your VA’s waiting-room needs a bit of ‘pulpy substance’ next to the boring glossy commercials...
