Re: Long Micro Pugnacious, sailing video
Lookin good, Bill. Also, a nice little video that I enjoyed watching - thanks for posting. Your boat gets along so sweetly. It looked like a sunny but cold day... For me it's pretty chilly here with winter minimum temps getting down to ~8 celsius, so, as I watched, in my mind's eye I did add something of a voyaging navigator cabin about you... ;)

I added a short video of my Long Micro sailing in the North Channel of Lake Huron this summer. As background, my trip to the NC is an annual pilgrimage to commune with wind, nature, and sails in cooler climes. This sail was one of the best. I raised the main on the outer dock at Meldrum Bay, CA and sailed off without touching the outboard. Winds on the beam drove us north at five knots across the Channel, through the range at Whitcher Island, and then east, down into John Island Harbor. I finally had to drop the main and motor into Cleary Cove, in John Harbor. Total trip was about 25 n. miles. The video includes a map to orient the viewer. The hastily-made selfie stick? A scrap of dirty pvc pipe I had in the shop. Unfortunately, it shows up well.
