Re: [bolger] Re: Carlson Hull Designer
It's hulls32.exe that I installed without having to do any special
tricks, and runs fine on my Windoze 10 machine.

I'm sorry to say that all I did to get Carlson's Hulls to run on my
desktop PC, put together by a local computer seller, running Windoze 10,
was to install it. <shrug>
I used the free upgrade to install Windoze 10 myself when it became
available, but used the opportunity to clear some of the accumulated
garbage on the computer and do a "clean install." Hulls was installed
after the upgrade.
It took some jiggery pokery with printer drivers to get the patterns to
print, and I can't get the offset table to print, but everything else
works fine. I prefer exporting the drawings to a good CAD program anyway
(I use TurboCAD 20). I can take offsets there, and nest patterns more
easily than in Hulls.

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is
easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and
denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country
to danger. It works the same way in any country. (Hermann Göring)
No. I'm afraid all I did was install Hulls and it worked. <shrug>

One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled
long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no
longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured
us. It's simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that
we've been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost
never get it back. (Carl Sagan)

Did you try to set it to run in windows 7 emulation mode?

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has tried Hull Designer on a Windows 10 machine. I retired my Win 7 (64-bit) laptop and replaced it with a new Dell Win 10 desktop with a nice big display.
Thanks,
Ralph
