Re: [bolger] If PCB had designed a car ... or a van
It's a Brubaker Box... built on a VW chassis. Except for the ugly 2x10 bumpers, they were really cool looking!

Good thinking.
But, while Phil preferred small foreign and domestic cars, he never
actually was much interested in sketching ‘his own’.
I however did bring such sensitivities into our marriage, and he partook with mild interest, but nothing like the relative intensity of shared interest in terms of boat-design and aspects of aviation.
This is not the time though to discuss cars, or the habits that form when you indulge in JANE’S ALL THE WORLD’S AIRCRAFT and related subscriptions once too many and for too long.
On boats, the next MAIB under PB&F column-number 533 (meaning over 530 such in sequence) will on ‘Frost-Biting’, something Phil was indeed familiar with, meaning sailing until the clear, grey, and then white stuff forms on the water to eventually stop any movement through the water.
Lots of images in that article. This will be something like number 116 since his death May 24th 2009.

This Wednesday, I gave a 105-min presentation on Design #225 “H.M.S. Rose”
to our regional TSCA-chapter (Traditional Small Craft Association).
The work continues.
And folks interested in e.g. PB&F ongoing efforts, should indeed subscribe to MAIB.
