Too much money unless it will work without modifications and I don't imagine it would.
intensitysails.com sells many new sails for poular small race boats, some for less than that $150. Not likely any of those would work unmodified either but you would be starting with a new sail. I have bought a few different sails from intensity and have won races with them.

There are used sail resellers with inventory searchable by dimensions. Minneys, Atlantic Sail Traders, bacon sails are 3 I recall.

Hi all.

Another simplistic question about my Old Shoe.

My craft currently has a mainsail made of a tarp material (I forget the material now) and sewn together with a run of the mill household sewing machine.  I'm sure it will last a few years at least given that I'm not going out day in and day out.

However I've noticed a sail on Craigs list. Only $150 and its my understanding that sails aren't exactly cheap.

It is a jib sail. The specs are 10 by 20 by 25 feet.

I understand nothing about sail specs.

Is that something that would work as a mainsail for my craft?

Thanks for any info in advance !
