I'm also thinking not to tape the bulkheads (inside) to the bottom
and to the sides. I've a 3 cm wide gluing surface there which I plan
to back up with epoxy putty fillets.

I did not use any tape on the external chine logs of my Tennessee. I only
used tape on the butt joints, and there were no leaks for the five years
that I used her. I think it's like "belts and braces", some are inclined
that way, some not. Anyway, I think it would be easier to put a fillet and
tape on the inside, than over the chine log on the outside.
