Re: [bolger] bolger boat plans

walt,

I don't know about Bolger designs on line; but a good source is back issues
of Messing About in Boats. Maybe you could get them from the publisher: Bob
Hicks, phone 978-774-0906. Or write to Bolger himself.

I suggest you take a look at the crab skiff with house. His crab skiff is a
work boat - 18 ft with 1-inch thick flat bottom but with 1.5" shoe down the
middle. I built one for my daughter to use in gill netting salmon in
Alaska. I liked it alot. Recently Bolger designed a house for it. Would
make a great, easily trailered, week-end cruiser, would weight under 1,000
lbs. My version of it without the house weighed 600 lbs.

I am looking to build another boat soon. Is there a good place to
see more of Bolgers plans online? Now looking at Champlain: a glass
house cruiser Boatbuilder Mag, Nov 1996. Looks close to what I want,
but would like to see similar cruising designs, especially by Bolger,
before committing. Thanks, Walt.
