I agree, Don. I have done that with every boat I built. If it is a law of
boat building, perhaps the corollary is: You never finish working on them.

I've now got an unfinished Birdwatcher in the shed awaiting fit-out
(described by someone who saw it as "rough, but watertight, anyway").
I will have it ready for next spring.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone in the Chesapeake region who
also has a Birdwatcher -- or a Shearwater or a Dovekie for that matter.
Couple reasons:
-- compare notes, especially on whether it's undercanvassed for our
area
-- maybe get together somewhere next summer like inside Assategue
Island or what have you.
Etc.
It's best to copy me on any postings --dadadata@...
