BTW, I am the "brave Texan" who is building the Caprice - the big sister of
the Toon2. I think we both will end up with good boats. Good luck on your

I noticed that a couple of the boats which appear in the
latest article "Boats of Southern Brittany" on duckworks
(http://www.duckworksmagazine.com/)which bare a passing
resemblance to the St Valerie, which may be of interest
to those who like this design. I find the high freeboard
a bit dumpy myself.
Just sent off for Jim Michalak's Toon2. This is the
multichine version of his AF3. I hope to build it over
christmas and launch in January or February (famous last
words perhaps). This is a shameless attempt to build a
good, general purpose boat cheaply and quickly.
