Bad show! Very windy here in Western Long Island Sound also. Sorry to
hear about the trouble. Hope you find all the pieces.

If you go to wunderground.com and put in Block Island, RI you'll see
that we're getting quite a blow today. We've also go waves so I went
straight to the beach this morning, figuring I'd check up on LSME
when I finished surfing.

Got to the lake about 10:30 and found her on her side, half swamped
as the wind pushed a 1 foot chop down the lake. The rigging was a
mess, and her blades had floated away.

Righted her, but the water weight in the cockpit held her low enough
that the chop was breaking into the cockpits, filling them higher.
Stripped off the spars and sail, located the blades down wind, but
couldn't push her off the beach into deaper water where I thought I
might tip her over and dump some of the water. Nothing to do but wait
for the tide to go out a little so the waves will stop filling her up.

If salt water is indeed a preservative, consider the LSME well preserved.
