LS3 and Tillie Howard
William Garden's design Tillie Howard is a big plywood sharpie schooner or
maybe a ketch. Sounds about like big LS. As I recall about 46' X 8' with a
lifting wooden dagger board, there is a lead bulb at the bottom of the board.
I think the bulb was 2000 pounds?
I think it was commissioned and built for a guy from Texas named Bob
Titus, maybe same guy that Bolger mentions in his designs (maybe Query). I
have never seen photos of this design, only drawings in Garden's book Yacht
Designs. Does anyone know of any web sites with pictures of TH?
