Single handedly getting a boat onto the roof . ..
Hi,
My single-handed scheme is this:-
Lash an oar (or spar) onto the front roof bar,
sticking out sideways from the car.
Hoist the front end of the boat onto the sticky out
bit of this oar. (Rear end still on the ground).
Hoist the rear end and swing it around onto the rack.
Swing the front end around until the hull is fore and
aft on the rack.
Unlash the oar, and then all you've got to worry about
is tying the boat down! (but that's another story . .
.)
