9. Write it down
While nothing that I have written here is earth-shattering news to
anyone, I am very pleased to have written it down, if only for my own
benefit. How many times have I said to myself "Next time I have to
remember to do/not do that!" I coudn't say, actually--I don't
remember. ;-)
We should all keep a log of some kind when building, even if it's just a
pad of paper hanging from a nail, both to avoid making the same gaffes
in successive projects, and to be able to share our bonehead mistakes
(so others won't repeat them) and brilliant insights (so they will).
