role of Surprise in the movie version of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey and
Maturin stories, reliable sources report. Director is Peter Wier
(Dead
Poets Society, Witness, The Truman Show). Modifications are to
include
construction of a credible gundeck. Sources say participants in the
project recently spent an hour on
the phone persuading Wier that the real movie star here is
the
