The nice lady at duckcentral said that they no longer handle the Beavertail
Motor (and that it was drop shipped anyway). She gave me the number of
Beavertail Manufacturing: 1 800 413 0020 and the name Mark Fisher to contact
there.
There wasn't any problem with the motors, she said, only that it was a web
page issue.

Actually, a company called Beavertail Motors
http://duckcentral.com/beavertail_motors.htm
is using Honda (and other) air-cooled generator motors to build super
shallow running outboards. They seem to be reasonably priced and can
be had anywhere from 6.5 h.p. to much larger ( I think 40h.p.) They
come in Freshwater and nickel plated Saltwater versions.

Justin,
I got the booklet a few years ago. It did have some useful material
in it. I never did anything with it but it was definitely worth
saving and I never complained about spending the few bucks it cost.
(It remains somewhere on one of my bookshelves.) I also wouldn't mind
hearing if anyone has used a Briggs (or equiv) motor for a boat (Go-
Devil drives excepted).

There was some discussion of this a few months ago and I have not seen a
report yet. I am getting ready to send off my $10.95. Just looking for a
thumbs up or down.
