Cheap Pages, new, updated, proas, etc
Go poke around the Cheap Pages and you will see a host of new links for
eBooks, mainly concerning canoeing and sailing canoes.
There is an article from 1876 on The Flying Proa. Still tracking the
history of the "proa idea" through the page of American magazines...
I've also at long last updated the Junk Rig Tutorial page to show some
other approaches to junk sail shapes beyond the one I like (Vincent
Reddish's), and rigs inspired by the battened lugsail. So if anyone
needs to look at the sail and sheeting of a Micro Navigator as
described in MAIB, an image is there.
I haven't completed the update of the Tutorial page and expect to add
some material from standard reference books on Thai, Vietnamese, and
Chinese sailing craft, and include Commodore Munroe's UTILIS rig too,
but there's substantially more on the page now.
