Re: [bolger] MAIB Back Issues

Thanks Vince...

Which version are you building, and what is the approximate displacement?

Yes, MAIB has back issues!

Yes, MAIB has back issues!

Back issues are $2 U.S. per issue. Send cash or check, Bob Hicks
doesn't accept credit cards (it's basically a one family operation). I
have ordered lots of them, and the back issues are as much fun as the
current ones. There is a wonderful alphabetized index by Dave Thibodeau
of all but the most recent issues at the URL below:

http://www200.pair.com/grinder/maib/index.html

There is also a link to current online articles from MAIB on Dave's
site.

Anyone who enjoys Messing About In Boats MUST subscribe to this
delightful and inexpensive magazine. It is published twice a month--24
issues . $28 for U.S. subscriptions. Canadians and overseas prices are
available upon request.

If you make sure the fax contains your mail address(postal), it has been my
experience that PCB will mail if fax fails. Clyde PS He generally let me
know when my fax sys failed also.

No Chris, I never did. An additional article I received was on a 15'
power catamaran. I was hoping by the date of it's publication it was
on Bolger's/ Elrowe La Rowe's FISHCAT. Alas it was not. I recently
faxed Bolger regarding the FISHCAT design, asking for thoughts and
plans price, but didn't receive a reply. Either the fax program I
used ( J2 formerly "J-FAX") didn't work, or PCB&F decided to ignore
me for whatever reason. I didn't ask for construction advice, just
the usual comments we've all seen in MAIB, the late SBJ, and Bolger's
own books. Guess I'll have to try USPS(?).
Cheers to all!!!!

Did you ever get this stuff?

I have data convincingly disconfirming the Duhem-Quine hypothesis.
Does anyone have MAIB issues Vol. 12 issues 6 and issue 22 ?
I sent for and received copies of the "Bolger on Design" articles
from those two issues, and received one page for each. The text,
however, looks like there might be more on the following page. If
somebody could look up those two articles and confirm this one way or
the other and let me know, I'd greatly appreciate.
BTW, issue 6 is the "#618 15' Work Skiff and issue 22 is a "Garvey
Outboard Utility"
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!!
