I've got to amend my posting about Bolger and his phone number. I make
it sound as if he's not responsive. Nothing could be further from the
truth. If you order plans, they will be on your doorstep as quick as a
wink, well as quick as UPS Red or Blue can get them to you.

If you think you want a Bolger design and can write a letter that makes
you sound as if you are 1) serious 2) have really thought about what you
want (no car toppable ocean crossing unlimited hydroplanes that sleep
nine) and 3) realize that it could cost a couple to several or more
thousands to make _your_ design happen AND you really are going to build
the thing, then Bolger will usually get back to you within a week or so
with a couple of his design "cartoons."

There is someone at the other end of that fax line and they do read
every fax that comes in.

If you want him to modify one of his existing designs that almost does
what you want I expect that he'd do it and that it would cost almost as
much as a new design. If he thinks that it is a natural evolution of the
old design and that it would appeal to many others, then the cost to
change the design might be less.

He's really emphatic about not wasting his time on designs that won't
get built. Don't try soft soaping him that "A Bolger design is a work of
art, like a Picasso." It won't work. I tried.

And God calls him once or twice a month for design advice. . . .
