I went back and clicked around in this site some more and found this
picture of a FLOATING GOLF GREEN in Couer D'Alene, Idaho using EPS foam
flotation. I should think this material would work rather well as
flotation for a boat, especially in spaces that are normally dry except
in the event of capsize or knocking a hole in the hull.
