Re: Surf, Gypsy or Windsprint
I definitely agree, Gypsy is not your choice for more than two adults. With
one or two on board she's a dream to sail. Beyond that she bogs down and
feels crowded. Windsprint will not feel crowded with four adults, but her
snappy responsiveness will probably be compromised. June Bug will not
initially feel overloaded with four adults, but she becomes a barg if her
fore foot digs in. I've sailed mine with five adults on board just to prove
it could be done, but I'm not likely to do it again by choice. I'm sure JB
as she is has more carrying capacity than Surf. Slightly lengthened and/or
made wider will increase that factor. According to PCB & Friends JB is very
easy to adjust size wise. Good luck.
