The complex pivoting rollers are there so that as the bow of the boat
comes onto the trailer the rollers can conform to the deeply veed
forward sections and then as the boat moves further forward flatten out
to support the flatter aft sections. They may also help to keep the
boat centered as it comes onto the trailer. You are right to want most
of the weight on the keel rollers once to boat is in the correct
position on the trailer.

I notice that the folks athttp://www.yachtsalvage.com/say they
have 'a multitude of trailers, large and small.' They seem to be in
Massachusetts. It could be worth a phone call.
The prices on the boats listed for sail do not seem especially low to
me, however, and maybe the prices for the rusty old trailers are not
low either.
