This salty old codger has been there, done that, and read darn near
everything. And I have never heard of any kind of rig that holds a vessel
head to wind while not at anchor. The very best you can hope for would be
from 45 to 60 degrees off the wind.
Unhappily, the mizzen on modern yawls is much too small to be helpful.
Unhappily also, that big mast so far forward on so many Bolger designs has
so much windage- and that mizzen is so small- that I doubt you are going to
get anything much better than wind abeam.
Try a parachute sea-anchor.
