Re: Diablo Under construction
Rick,
My Diablo weighs a little less than 200 lbs.
Good luck,

Rick,
Think of the fun you'll have sampling all that delicious red wine
and never mind the virgins, strictly for débutants!
If you have built your DIABLO from the plans, does Bolger not
indicate a displacement figure somewhere on the plans, like right near
the waterline in the profile drawing?
One advantage of the above mentioned wine sampling is that it may
allow you to assume a somewhat laid-back mellow perspective toward
your boat which in turn might produce some rather fine romantic
visions of yourself scooting along a mirrored lake toward a distant
but nifty picnic spot.As you gaze lovingly upon this boat crafted by
your hands, your eyes will pick up every little detail.......take the
time to finish her well,be finicky and fussy...... and those details
exposed under the gleaming varnish/paint job will reward you
endlessly with feelings of pride and accomplishment. It will make all
the effort spent,worthwhile!
Best of luck in the final details!!
Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan

Now I have to worry about virgin red wine?
Our Diablo is now in the final assembly stages. Remaining are the
small but time consuming details. Gun'wales, anchor bits, blocking to
secure fuel tank, pads for fish rod holders, perhaps a coffee mug
holder?, etc. Then of course glass cloth, primer and paint, so,
say...
well let's say "lawn-chin dey" is still a ways off. Plenty of time to
sample a good selection of potential "lawn-chin" wines.
Finally sent film in to the processors, will post a few when they
return.
A question for you Diablo owners and admirirers. Anyone know what the
hull, as designed, weighs?
