Re: [bolger] Re: More Micro Questions / homemade wine for homemade boats?

If the wine didn't turn out, maybe you could distill it into "Micro Brandy".

Good news to all,
It WORKS! I mounted the top hatch, on the Birdwatcher slit, (about 2
feet wide and 5 feet long) On six arms (like the pivot arms in a
parallel ruler) so it would swing up and out of the way in nice weather,
and after Much; fitting, frustration and fixing, they work! The hatch
swings up and to the rear about 15 inches, allowing for walking head
room under the raised hatch and plenty of room to climb out onto the
forward deck. This whole idea was necessitated by my not being able to
figure out where to store the hatch when not in use. There is an arch,
looking like the letter, "pi" at the rear of the slit and it does double
duty, locking the raised hatch in place as well as being a mount for my
VHF antenna and my GPS antenna and my 360 degree anchor light.
David, Thanks for the input about your homemade wine and my wife
also, almost did herself a mischief laughing so hard about your
comments. One year I helped my landlord make his dago red, as he did
every year. the year I helped, we ended up with some of the finest wine
vinegar you ever had on a salad. I will say, that way back then, I did
make many batches of killer dandelion wine, I used to pay the
neighborhood children twenty five cents for every shopping bag of
blossoms they brought me. As the kids grew up, I made less and less of
the good nectar, because they better understood the lack of return on
their effort.

Yea, right, like i'd break that over the bow.
Peter,

In lieu of this, my wife has agreed to throw a bucket of water from
our fish pond on her bow when she is christened. There is a bit of,
"Sad" involved in updating the christening, my good buddy and next door
neighbor, who has stood by me through out the building, is loosing his
fight with cancer, so we are going to have the christening soon enough
so he will be able to attend. His name is Jim, and anyone out there that
believes, as I do, in the power of prayer, please say one for him.
Thanks.
As to your comment about, "Aqua Velva Aftershave" I'll have you know,
I haven't drank any of that since I left the navy!! ;-)
Thanks to one and all for making this list such a great place to be!!!
