Changeover to Yahoo
All,
I read the group's messages on the web, but post and reply via email. My
old eGroups bookmark in Netscape still works. The first time on after
the change, I was recognized as a "Guest". I had no "files" access. I
clicked the "Welcome eGroup Members" link and, fortunately, remembered
my old eGroups ID and password. I used them when I converted my account.
I was lucky, I guess, that they do not duplicate any existing Yahoo
ID/password. However, the next time on, I was a guest again. I tried the
"sign in" link. There all I had to give additional was my email address.
I checked the box to "remember my password and ID".
Next time on, I made the mistake of clicking the "sign out' link. Next
time back, I was a guest again and had to do the "sign in", "remember
my..." bit all over. I won't make that mistake again, just leave.
As far as cookies are concerned. I am willing to accept their cookie to
avoid having to sign in and type my ID/password every time.
