Ballast rears its ugly head (yet again)

"I-think-therefore-it-is" creeps into the list once more.

If whoever wrote this wasn't on the list last time around, please look in
the archives for the over-long arguments about positioning of ballast,
ballast materials and so on. I'd also suggest that some reading of Chuck
Merrell's articles ('Slogging to Windward') in Duckworks Magazine to see
how complex this whole business really is.
