Apparently this stuff is so slick, one can move a boat around on its
bottom as if it were on ice. I first heard of it in David Hazen's site
on strip canoe building. He used it in strips on the bottom of a canoe
he built for himself. He got it from the drift boat shop he works in
part-time. They cover the bottoms of their drift boats with it.

A great source for UHMW (ultra high molecular weight)polyethylene in
sheet, bar and other misc. forms is United States Plastic Corp. in
Lima, OH. Web site is www.usplastic.com

They carry just about every type of plastic in many different shapes.
